One thing I would say is that, going nude in movies does not come with the
job now. What you need as an actress is your inspiration and delivery. That
is the way you are able to get across to your fans. Nobody is going to tell me

According to Dada, men are faced with challenges at work and then come home
feeling bothered wanting to share with their spouse.
He urged a woman that has a listening ear to listen to whatever bothers her
husband so he can be relieved, “A woman that will take me for who I am and
accommodate my shortcomings is what I need. An unselfish woman that values
children and one that will care for my extended family. Not just someone that will
say ‘I and my husband alone,” he added.Not ruling out the spiritual aspect to
relationships, Dada advises husbands and wives to have the love and fear for
God.
Like Dada, Mr. Henry Mgbeme wants a woman that is caring and supportive. A
woman who will not depend on him for everything she needs nor engage in
worldly activities.
For Mgbeme, he wants a modest woman. “I prefer her simple and modest – I
would not like my woman to use jewellery.” Going the African tradition, Mr. Atumeyi
Uwanni, a married man for years, prefer a woman well nurtured in her traditions
and must not be canal. This he says is a typical African woman.
Speaking further, Uwanni said “A man can be flirt, known to the woman but she
can absorb and manage. But no man can manage the flirt character of a woman.
Also, Uwanni, frowns at women with low hygiene manners. He advised that such a
woman should strive to imbibe healthy lifestyle. Uwanni was also of the view that,
“A woman should be good in all ramifications.”
For those women who do not exhibit good character, he advised that such a
woman should read the last chapter of the Book of Proverbs as a guideline to
managing her home.
To him, "Marriage is friendship. Friendship is companionship. Companionship is
what a man looks out for in a woman. If there is no relationship, there is no
fellowship. The relationship between spouses metamorphoses into fellowship.”
For nagging and callous women, Uwanni says such persons are not welcome by
men. Such women, he says will not welcome a man’s ‘people’ and friends into his
house. Uwanni therefore proposes for love in a relationship. This he says covers a
multitude of sin. Love, he pointed out, should not be only in bed but also outside
bed.
On his part, Henry Ose wants a sincere woman that he can trust anywhere,
anytime and any day.
He said “Women can fool men to the brim if they want to. A girl giving her body
doesn’t guarantee her love for you. She might as well be fooling you. I don’t want
a woman that will still have feelings for her ex-lover because she would never want
to let him go,” Ose added.
Reeling what he wants in a woman, Lanre Bello said that he wants one from a
good background, Christian with a good behavior that can accommodate his
friends and people.
Bello did not also fail to mention that his ideal woman “must be a good cook and
be very good in bed. For, if she is an amateur, then it’s going to be hell for the
man.”
Dami Israel Ojo wants a woman of good character. To him: “It is not all about the
beauty or make-up. The good character is the beauty of a woman and this is what
will stand the test of time when the beauty would have gone. This is what builds
up a good family.”
Ojo also craves for a woman that is very understanding, “I want a woman with
understanding. She should understand my type of person, for I am a very stubborn
and aggressive type.”

The Senate has defended the N150 billion annual budget of the National
Assembly, saying the amount was not out of place for the country’s
legislative body.
It explained
that the said
amount was for all staff of the National Assembly, the Legislative Institute,
National Assembly Service Commission as well as capital projects, contrary
to public insinuation that the amount was only for the national legislators.
The legislators made the explanation following public outcry that the ‘jumbo
pay’ to the legislature alone was affecting the resources of the country.
Meantime, the National Assembly has unveiled the logo for the 1st African
Legislative Summit, 2013 which is expected to bring together participants
from many countries around the world, particularly Africa including officials
at the executive branch of government within the continent.
The National Assembly through the National Institute for Legislative Studies,
NILS, would be hosting the Summit from November 10-13, 2013.
The summit is expected to provide an avenue for legislators and
stakeholders across the continent to deliberate on current issues and
developments relating to the effective functioning of African parliaments,
national economies and democratic governance.
President of the Summit and Nigeria Senate Leader Victor Ndoma-Egba at
the ceremony of the unveiling of the logo exonerated the National Assembly
from alleged national waste.
Ndoma-Egba while answering questions from journalists that the nation’s
federal legislature had become expensive, said NASS annual budget of N150
billion cannot be held responsible for the wastage.
According to him, the N150 billion, which represents three per cent of the
annual national budget, was infinitesimal to the remaining 97 per cent of the
total budget of the country.
He said, contrary to the general impression, the N150bn budget was not
meant for the salary and allowances of the legislators alone but included
that of other institutions within the National Assembly.
The institutions, he disclosed, included the staff of the National Assembly
Service Commission, the staff and management of the National Institute for
Legislative Studies (NILS) and legislative aides of the lawmakers as well as
that of the medical staff attached to the National Assembly.
Senate President David Mark who unveiled the logo corroborated the Senate
Leader as he said under-staffing was one of the problems hampering
effective and efficient legislative business in the National Assembly.
In his speech at the event, he said emerging legislatures were under
significant stresses which were becoming hindrances to efforts to exercise
greater influence over government policies and hampering an effective
performance of their oversight responsibilities.
He said these included “contextual issues such as underdevelopment,
executive interference in some cases and also staff and resources deficit as
managers and staff of parliaments struggle to meet the growing demands
placed on them.”

The other day I was at the departure hall at Nnamdi Azikewe airport waiting for my
flight. I was tucked away at a corner, from people's preying eyes, at least so I
thought. My flight was delayed so I had about 2hrs to kill. As I reached into my
backpack to get my iPad and keep myself busy till boarding time, a man with two
teen girls approached me; they were all beaming with the most enchanting smiles I
have ever seen.
"Charly these are my daughters, they’ve been worrying me that they want to take
pictures with you” I obliged, as their father took position to capture a golden
moment for his two teen daughters.
Before anyone could say Charly, the boy in me jumped out.
There I was clowning around, making funny faces, as the girls caught the
monkeying around bug. And to everyone's entertainment and amusement, we
turned the whole departure hall into a photo studio and a runway, hummm! Oh
boy come and see. All of a sudden most of the waiting passengers, teens, youths,
mums and dads started to lineup for their own Kodak moments. Na who find
trouble now?
It is always at times like this that I feel special and loved, and all I want to do is
give back that love to all the people showing me warmth. Not too far from where I
was displaying and forming model tins, from the corner of my eye, I caught a
young man probably in his late 30s giving me some very dirty look. I don't think it
was his frustration that got his face twisted with those hating eyes that kept
piercing my smooth baby skin. Kai!!! If looks could kill, I would have been dead ten
times over, no be small tin. You don't need to be psychic to know that the man is
not a CharlyBoy lover, but a hater. Yesoooooooo! I may not be James Bond 007,
but I assassinated that hater with my smile.
A hater is someone that just can't stand you, usually your success. They hate you
for who you are. They are merchants of gossip and all malicious stories about you.
They even like to recruit members into their haters club; on the Internet they hold
sway. Haters hate you for your accomplishments, youthfulness, attractiveness,
popularity, but guess what? Most of the time they don't even know why they hate
on you. Some haters come from the lowest social ladder, they are as green and as
ignorant as they come, I swear. These "winche" people are everywhere. For haters,
hate is the only way they can cope and go on with their lives. They usually suffer
some insecurity or inadequacies.
If you are on top your game, you must have haters, no escaping. I rather have real
haters than fake fans. It is important to be mature in dealing with these
prematures’. Being able to sift through people's envy and bad intention towards
you for the valuable truth in their criticism is often a key to being great and
surviving people's bad belle and nonsensical jargon. As my head kept playing back
some very famous haters in my life and how they chopped all the bull shit and the
shenanigans I dished out. A beautiful middle aged woman came to sit by my side. I
have been watching you, she said. "How do you manage with people swooping all
over you like that" referring to the short drama that just took place. "I read your
articles on Linda's blog all the time, most of all I admire your courage in being
your authentic self, how did you build such a thick skin."
If I walk tall, how is that my fault? I live my life the way I please, how is that
supposed to affect anybody’s peace. Shame if they think I care, shame if they
think I would flair. I no send dem atall atall. Free Me!!!
Haters are usually people with little social consequence to you. See dem, yahoo
boys with no laptop. They are validation that you are a big deal. The more
successful you are, the stronger, the more opinionated, I tell you, and the less you
will be generally liked. But Hey! Cut yourself a slack and ignore haters.
Instead, focus on turning people who like your dream to people who love your
dream. I have noticed that the average or the ordinary don't get bothered by
haters, only outstanding people, “weird" people, crazy people, unusual people, in
short, people who don't stand up never get stoned at.
Haters hate either because they don't understand or they can't imitate. Little do
they know that their hating is their sincerest form of flattery.
Haters only hate things they can't get or people they can't be. For mesha! I don't
have time for haters, I have ignored haters, all my life I just keep doing what I do
best, treating others with love and respect always.
So! Don't waste your time with this silly hating game! Because dem no see you

A Pilgrim from
Niger State to
this year’s Holy Pilgrimage to Israel, Mr. Amos Peter has died in transit
few hours to the Holy land, according to reports.
It was gathered that first aid treatment was administered on him and he
was later taken to a Hospital in Turkey but was confirmed dead on arrival
at the Hospital.
Confirming the death, Head of Medical team leading the pilgrimage to the
Holy land, Dr. Joseph Kolo said late Peter like other pilgrims from the state
had undergone thorough medical examinations and were all certified and
declared medically fit for the trip. He wondered the cause of the sudden
death.
The corpse of the deceased will be sent back to Nigeria and would be
handed over to the family for interment.
Late Amos Peter was part of the 286 Christian pilgrims who left the state
through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport for Israel for this year’s
Holy pilgrimage.

THE PAINS AND GAINS…
Well, I’m usually a very busy person, but it’s just that right now, I’ve been a very

But I thank God that my life has been good.

There was a minor accident on Friday at the Murtala Muhammed International
Airport in Lagos, involving a Turkish Airline aircraft and a Max Air plane. The
Turkish Airline plane wings collided with that of Max Air plane which had brought
in Pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.
The collision, according to sources on group, resulted in minor damages to both
airplanes and have thus been been taken away for repairs.
It was learnt that the Turkish Airplane had landed safely but was taxiing to stop at
the airport’s apron when its wing collided with that of Max Air, resulting in the
incident.
Spokesman, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Fan Ndubuoke, confirmed the
incident. He however said damages to the aircraft belonging to both airlines were
minor and that both planes had been taken away.
I guess she is getting ready to change her ways, at least this is better than before.

The Benue State Police Command has arrested a doctor for raping a female patient
who was on admission in a hospital where he practices.
The alleged rapist, Toi (not real name), is a medical practitioner with Tersoo Clinic
in Naka town, Gwer West local government area of Benue state.
According to Dailypost, the medical personnel had reportedly tested positive to
HIV/AIDs and was
receiving Anti-Retroviral (ARV) treatment at the General Hospital, Naka, before the
incident occurred.
Medical sources said the female patient was brought to the clinic for emergency
medical attention and after been placed on drip, recovered partially, but the doctor,
who took advantage of the fact that she was unconscious, forcefully had carnal
knowledge of her.
The police public relations Officer in the state, DSP Daniel Ezeala, confirmed the
incident, saying, “the medical personnel has been arrested by our men in Naka
and investigation on the matter is on-going.”

The New Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Alhaji Abubakar
Kawu Baraje has filed a notice of appeal over last week’s ruling by a Federal High
Court, Abuja, restraining it from using PDP’s logo and colours and recognizing the
Alhaji Bamabga Tukur-led National Working Committee (NWC) as the authentic
leadership of the party.
The notice of appeal according to an online statement by Chief Eze Chukwuemeka
Eze, the spokesperson of the nPDP was filed on Thursday morning of 24 October,
2013, by its team of lawyers led by Raji (SAN) before the Federal High Court, Abuja,
presided over by Honourable Justice Evoh Chukwu, who ruled against the splinter
PDP last Friday.
“We are also seeking an injunction and a stay of execution of Honourable Justice
Chukwu’s ruling.”
The breakaway PDP noted that the decision to file the appeal was taken at an
emergency meeting of the New PDP National Working Committee (NWC) following
the return of the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje, from the 2013
pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
“The decision was taken after the NWC carefully studied last Friday’s ruling by the
Federal High Court and after due consultations with our team of lawyers. We once
more wish to reiterate that we remain convinced that we have a good case and are
thus determined to ensure that Tukur and his cohorts are not allowed to hold sway
as the leaders of our great party.
“Our teeming members and supporters should, therefore, entertain no fears
whatsoever and should remain steadfast as we seek to legally establish our case
and logically conclude our mission to rescue the PDP from anti-democratic forces
so as to restore the noble vision of the party’s founding fathers.
“Finally, due to the busy schedules of our Governors and most of the stakeholders
our proposed G7/Stakeholders/NWC meeting slated for this week will now hold by
next week. Venue and time will duly be communicated to members by our National
Secretary.
"One of the major issues slated for discussion is how to receive our new members
particularly the five additional PDP Governors who have indicated interest in joining
us”.
The palace of the Oba of Benin, His Majesty Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo
was a beehive of activities this past Tuesday as the leadership of Copyright Society
of Nigeria (COSON) stormed the ancient city of Benin to officially launch music
copyright licensing in the state.
The first port of call of the team from Lagos led by COSON Chairman, Chief Tony
Okoroji was the palace of the revered Oba where the team was joined by prominent
Edo musicians like Prof. (Sir) Victor Uwaifo, Osayomora Joseph and the leadership
and members of PMAN including former PMAN Secretary-General, Okouimose
Emmanuel Okouimose. The COSON delegation was received by the Oba and his full
cabinet.
Addressing His Majesty, Chief Okoroji said that Edo state was well known for its
unparallel culture and creativity whether in folklore, bronze casting or music and
that these great gifts from the Almighty if properly harnessed can bring
unquantifiable reward to the people.
He went further to say that COSON has received the mandate of the musicians of
the world and the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to ensure that
those who deploy music in a public or commercial setting obtain a license to
compensate those who create the works so that the industry can offer employment
to millions of people in Nigeria and generate tax revenue for the state.
Chief Okoroji also informed the Oba that one of its citizens, Prince Biodun
Egwakhide has been appointed by COSON to ensure that the licensing programme
takes off without hitches and that COSON thought it was necessary before
launching the programme that the Oba is fully briefed and his prayers and
blessings received.
The Oba thanked the delegation and said prayers with the traditional breaking of
the kola nuts and the sharing of drinks.
Prof. Victor Uwaifo who accompanied the COSON delegation to several of the
events in Benin was full of praise for the rapid progress that COSON has made in
so short a time. He called on musicians across Nigeria to continue to give COSON
their unalloyed support as the leadership has shown that it is unassailable. He
also called on public and commercial users of music in Edo state to ensure that
they obtain a COSON license to avoid legal problems from COSON.
All across Edo state on practically every radio station, the COSON Public Service
Announcements keeps blaring virtually back to back.

21-year old young woman, Evidence Nkuna, was on Wednesday arraigned in a
Meadowlands Magistrates’ Court for cutting off her boyfriend’s p**is.
South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson, Sibusiso Chauke told newsmen
that the woman caught her boyfriend with another woman on Sunday and ordered
them to strip n*ked.
“It is alleged that the woman took out a knife and cut off her boyfriend’s p**is”,
Chauke said.
He said the woman was arrested the same day.
According to report, Nkuna stood quietly in the dock throughout the proceeding on
Wednesday.
The case has been transferred to the Protea Magistrates’ Court.
The police said that Nkuna will now be charged with attempted murder.
Her previous charge was assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
She was, however, granted bail in the sum of R2 500 (about N45,000) and will
appear in the Protea Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Some members of the Ojukwu family have asked the Nigerian Ambassador to
Spain, Bianca Ojukwu, to show proof that she was legally married to the late
Ikemba of Nnewi, Chukwuemeka Odimegwu-Ojukwu.
In a 19-paragraph statement of defence filed by Ojukwu Transport Limited and
seven others before Justice Funmilayo Atilade of the Lagos High Court, the family
equally demanded:
proof from Bianca that her two sons, Afamefuna and Nwachukwu are
biological sons of Odimegwu- Ojukwu.
The other defendants are Prof. Joseph Ojukwu, Engr. Emmanuel Ojukwu, Lotanna
Putalora Ojukwu,
Dr Patrick Ojukwu, Arc. Edward Ojukwu, Lota Akajiora Ojukwu and Mrs. Massey
Udegbe (doing business under Massey Udegbe & Company).
Bianca had in suit No: LD/1539/2012 filed on behalf of her two under-aged
children, Afamefuna and Nwachukwu (claimants), wants the court to:
declare that her children are entitled to the possession and occupation of
the property known as No. 29, Oyinkan Abayomi Street, Ikoyi Lagos, until
the harmonisation of the management and administration of the assets of
the first defendant (OTL).
At the resumed hearing of the suit yesterday, counsel to Bianca and her children,
was not in court which necessitated Justice Atilade to adjourn the suit till
December 10 for adoption of written addresses on a Motion on Notice seeking to
restrain the defendants from the property in dispute.
Bianca’s children had through their lawyer; Chris Ezugwu, prayed the court to
declare as illegal the threat of forceful ejection from 29, Oyinkan Abayomi Street,
by the defendants.
In addition, they urged the court to declare that they are entitled to possess the
following property, namely:
No 13, Hawksworth Road, Ikoyi (now known as No. 13 Ojora Road);
No 32A, Commercial Avenue, Yaba, Lagos;
No 30, Gerard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos;
No. 30, McPherson Avenue, Ikoyi.
Bianca’s children said throughout the period their father was struggling to retrieve
the properties from the government, the second to the seventh defendants “never
played any role in the struggle nor contributed financially or otherwise to the
realisation of the struggle.”
Besides, the claimant is asking for an order of court restraining the defendants,
their agents or privies from interfering with the claimants’possesion and control of
the properties.
But, in their statement of defence, the 1st to the 7th defendants through their
lawyer, George Uwechue, SAN, averred that the subscribers of the memorandum of
association of Ojukwu Transport Limited (1st defendant) at incorporation in 1952
were L. P. Ojukwu and Betram Chukwuemeka Obi, adding that the late
Chukwuemeka Odimegwu-Ojukwu and one Prof. Joseph Ojukwu (2nd defendant)
were later appointed as directors in 1953.
They stated that late Chukwuemeka Odimegwu- Ojukwu thereafter ceased to be a
director of the company prior to the Nigerian civil war and was reappointed as a
director on December 16, 2005 while the 3rd and 4th defendants were appointed
directors in 1954 and 2005 respectively.
They added that the claimants’ statement of claim contained tissues of lies and
distorted facts alleging that Bianca who instituted the suit, “being greedy felt that
she could hold unto the company’s properties.”

Nollywood actress and producer, Queen Temitope Oluwa has has instituted a
legal suit against Raymond Dokpesi owned Africa Independent Television,
AIT, over the airing of one of her flicks, Atupa Emi .
The Saratu star filed a legal case with the help of her attorney, M.A Bashua &
Co. suing the television company to the tune of N5million.
When contacted, Queen said,
“ I don’t have much to say but I have instituted a legal case against AIT over
an infringement on my rights as a citizen and as the copyright owner of
Atupa Emi, which is illegally been aired on their medium. ”
In a letter served the management of AIT, Queen is demanding the whopping
sum of money as a fee for breaching of her intellectual property rights to the
flick, Atupa Emi.

injunction against him.
Chocolate City through their law firm, L & A legal Consultants on Monday
got an injunction against Brymo restraining him from recording, releasing,
distributing any composition, song, musical works or carrying out any
activity as a recording or perfoming artist through or for the benefit of any
person or organisation other than Chocolate City pending the determination
of the suit against him.
Chocolate City says Brymo’s contract remains valid until 2016, Brymo have
reacted to this with a couple of tweets blasting Choc city enterprise.

An 18-year-old girl, allegedly gang-raped by three boys, has committed
suicide at her Amarata residence. It is a suburb of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa
State capital.
The deceased, simply identified as Janet, was a native of Oduali in Abua/
Odua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
She was reportedly g#ng-r*ped at gunpoint by the boys, who forced her
into an uncompleted building last week, while she was on an errand for
her elder sister.

“The girl was sad and devastated after the incident. After she narrated her
experience, her sister’s husband, who is a pastor, asked her to describe any
of her attackers. She described one of them.
“The boy was traced to his house, but he had absconded. The pastor
counseled her and promised to pursue the matter to a logical conclusion.”
It was gathered that, unknown to her guardian, the distraught girl had
decided to take her own life.
The source said the r*pe victim left behind a suicide note, after which she
took a poisonous substance known as Sniper.
She was discovered groaning in pain, and taken to Gloryland Hospital,
where she died.

Genevieve Nnaji, was unable to register her presence at the premier of the well
anticipated "half of a yellow sun movie" in the London Film Festival premiere,
Odeon West End, last weekend.
The director of the movie, Biyi Bandele, disclosed this on his Facebook page
hours ago to express how much they missed the movie star and mother of one,
