An Orile-Agege Customary Court in Lagos on Wednesday
dissolved a 20-year-old marriage of a pastor who had accused
his wife of adultery, stealing and threatening his life.
Pastor Olufemi Adewumi, 44, who lives at 12, Ajiboye Close, Ile-
Iwe, Agbado Oke-Odo, Agege, came to the court on Dec.12, 2013,
seeking the dissolution of his marriage to Fatimo, his wife.
Ruling in the case, the Court President, Mr Adegboyega Omilola,
said that the marriage had broken down irreparably.
“Since the inception of the hearing, the woman failed to appear
before the court; a court summon was served to her, but she
failed to come.
“The court cannot continue to wait for the woman that failed to
honour the court.
“So, the marriage is dissolved today. You have ceased to be
husband and wife, you shall go your separate ways unmolested,”
he said.
Omilola granted custody of their two children, aged 12 and 15
years, to the man.
“Take care of the children and ensure you see to their well
being,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the pastor had
told the court that his wife was adulterous and kept bad
company.
“I caught my wife and one of her lovers in her house sometime in
2013. She was not expecting me to come home at that time, else
she would not have invited her lover,” he said.
The petitioner had also told the court that his wife kept bad
company and he tried in vain to keep her away from her bad
friends.
He said that money also got missing in their room on some
occasions and described his wife as a fetish woman who
threatened his life.
“I want the dissolution of the marriage and custody of my
children,” he had said.

You see him on Sunday morning well dressed in his three piece suit

Once he starts to preach, the congregation is overwhelmed with the
awe he exudes. Because this is all they know about him, some
followers believe that is all about the pastor.
Ask some Christians and they will bet their life savings that their
pastors have never visited the toilet, not to talk of having séx. Where
on earth do they have the time for such "things", they seem to assert
in illusion.
But ‘Pastors crave more séx than others’...
The pastor is perhaps the most misunderstood and over-rated being
on earth today. He is rated as a semi-god, incapable of enjoying the
pleasures that life presents him. This is so because he rarely talks to
his adherents about other areas of his life.
Bosede Olusola-Obasa of PUNCH, asked some pastors and pastors’
wives if they have erotic feelings and séxual closeness with their
spouses like other people.
They said the illusion that pastors don’t have séx life only lies in the
minds of few ignorant congregants.
“Séx is a beautiful gift from God within the marriage context. It is not
possible for my husband not to have séx. He feels the same way other
men feel because he is human. It is the food of our marriage just as
food is to the body. We make it a regular affair because the absence
of it can negatively affect our relationship and even his work as a
pastor,” said Pastor (Mrs.) Kemi Olofinkua of the New Anointing
Deliverance Church, Anifowose, Ikeja, Lagos.
She said that both she and her husband do not take séx for granted
because starving one another could cause a scandal, especially if not
properly managed.
She said that she seldom turned down her husband’s invitation
because strange women would willingly offer themselves if allowed.
Olofinkua said, “People who think pastors don’t have séx must be
funny. No matter the level of anointing, a pastor needs his wife at
home. The difference between a pastor and other men is that he can
cope whenever his work demands that he abstains from séx .
“But it is dangerous to make him burn with desire for séx without
satisfying it with his wife. If this happens, he could be pushed out
into the waiting arms of many others because pastoral work usually
endears pastors to people – men and women. As a pastor’s wife, I
don’t take my husband’s séxual need for granted. When he beckons,
no matter how tired I am, I don’t turn him down.”
Similarly, Pastor Mrs. Shade Toyin-Kehinde said it is a fallacy to
think or say that pastors don’t have séx with their wives.
She said, “Pastors are not woods. It is the same with pastors as it is
for other men. Séx is an integral part of every marriage. It is anti-god
to wish it away. A healthy, regular séx is important to pastors
because it makes them to maintain focus and avoid falling on the
laps of other desperate women, who wish to have them because of the
glory on them .”
She said that she makes it a point of duty to ‘serve’ her husband,
especially after he has done great spiritual exploits, adding that a
pastor who has a poor séxual relationship with his wife would engage
in extra-marital affairs.
She said, “ If your wife has just served you hot pounded yam and egusi
soup before leaving home and someone then offers you beans, you will
naturally turn down the offer because you’re satisfy . I don’t joke with
my séxual relationship with my husband and I never say no to him.”
Toyin-Kehinde, who is the wife of the Pastor in charge of Agape
Generation International Church, Maryland, Lagos, said there should
be no week without séx between a pastor and his wife. She said a
healthy séx in marriage enhances holiness.
She said, “The anointing attracts goodwill and people. Some women
in church get so carried away that they tell the pastor ‘I just like you.’
The pastor’s wife must help her husband to overcome these overtures
by being there for him.
“My husband doesn’t flirt but we have devised means to stay close
always. Our offices are just side-by-side. When a woman comes to
him for counselling and she is not properly dressed, he directs her to
me. We preach healthy séx in marriage and we practise it.”
She said it is unfortunate that some pastors pretend to be too busy to
enjoy séx in marriage.
84-year-old pastor shares experience
Speaking from a male pastor’s viewpoint, 84-year-old clergyman,
Rev. Moses Iloh, who is a Senior Pastor at Soul Winning Chapel,
Ebute Meta, Lagos, offered personal love experience.
Having been married to his wife, Love, for 48 years, he said that a
healthy séxual relationship, among other things, has made him a very
happy man.
He said that the secret of the érotic relationship between him and his
wife is doing everything together.
Iloh said, “When we are 50 years in marriage, we will get married
again; we did same when we turned 25.
“From the first day of marriage, we bathed together, ate together,
shared the same bedroom. Our bodies belong to one another. With

We don’t starve ourselves of séx,” he said.

That is what I have been doing. I am 84 and very agile, happy

happened to me. My wife is not around now but wherever I am, I am
always rushing home to be with my wife, friend and confidant.
“People who run into hurting relationships are open to illnesses and
may die young. They should seek help.”
Another male pastor, Pastor Bisi Adewale, said that nothing could be
farther from the truth than believing that pastors do not have séx
with their wives.
He said pastors crave séx just like every other man and there should
not be any pretence about it.
“My wife is not available right now; she would have told you more.
Pastors demand for séx more than men who are not pastors because
they have only one wife to turn to. The fact that we are pastors
doesn’t eliminate our biological make up. There should be no
pretence about this matter.
“I heard of a pastor who said he was looking for God’s power and
abstained from his wife for more than 10 years and a prominent
pastor in the country had to travel to Port Harcourt to settle the
issue. His wife needed him, but he wasn’t there. He didn’t get her
consent to go on a long period of abstinence to fast and pray to seek
the power of God. His wife had to resort to the use of vibrator .”
He gave another instance when a pastor abstained from his wife for a
long time to seek power until his mechanic impregnated his wife .
He said pretending about the need for séx is a major cause of
scandals in ministries and it should be avoided.

chicken and watermelon for Black History Month. Black students
and parents at Carondelet High School rushed to the media
complaining bitterly about the items on the lunch menu at the
all-girls school.
According to the outraged students, the watermelon, fried
chicken, and cornbread items on the menu are offensive to black
people. Why? Because the food is served by white people?
For whatever reason, our people tend to choose the wrong
battles and lose focus on the real enemy.
Carondelet bought into the drama. The school immediately
removed the items from the lunch menu and apologized for
offending the sensitive students and their parents.
“I’d like to apologize for the announcement and any hurt this
caused students, parents or community members,” Principal

the country, worked as a sales girl in the market and had entered the
toilet pretending to ease herself.
She was said to have forced the baby into the toilet, but the baby got
stuck in it.
He died as people were attempting to rescue him.
The magistrate, Mr Olanrewaju Olatunji, in obvious shock, asked the
suspect why she decided to kill her own child.
Instead of responding, Oseni burst into tears and pleaded for
forgiveness.
Olatunji then called the Investigating Police Officer, Woman Corporal
Veronica Uket, who narrated the incident.
She said, Oseni went to the public toilet on January 3, 2014 around
2.30pm. She was said to have pretended that she wanted to ease
herself.
She came out and nobody suspected anything. When she left, the
baby started crying. It was another woman who wanted to use the
toilet that first saw the child and called the attention of the woman in
charge of the public toilet.
People went there and saw that the baby was stuck inside the toilet.
By the time they removed him, they saw that he was already dead.&
Uket said the suspect could not be found on the day of the incident, but she was caught the following day when she showed up again in
the market for work.
She was subsequently handed over to the police who arraigned her on
Wednesday on one count of murder.
The charge reads, “That you, Rafiat Oseni, on January 3, 2014, at
about 2.30pm at Alaba Rago Market Ojo, Lagos, in the Lagos
Magisterial District, did unlawfully kill a day-old baby and thereby
committed an offence punishable under Section 221 of the Criminal

According to
OsunDefender , Onitsha police arrested 11 people after they discovered
2 fresh human heads in a hotel (name withheld) very close to the
popular Ose-Okwodu market in Anambra state on Thursday.
2 AK47 rifles and other weapons were also discovered in the hotel.
The arrest followed tip-offs from area residents on Thursday morning.
The hotel owner, 6 women and 4 men were arrested.
After police got access to the hotel, they made a startling discovery
of two human heads wrapped in a cellophane bag, two AK47 rifles,
two army caps, 40 rounds of live ammunition and so many cell
phones.
Each time I came to market, because the hotel is very close to the
market, I always noticed funny movements in and out of the hotel;
dirty people with dirty characters always come into the hotel.
So, I was not surprised when the police made this discovery in the
early hours of yesterday,; said a vegetable seller in the area.
A Pastor who was among the people who tipped off the police on
Thursday said: I went to the hotel early this year, after eating, I was
told that a lump of meat was being sold at N700, I was surprised.

According to Sahara Reporters, First Lady, Patience Jonathan, has
secured the release of the 6 thugs who were arrested by the Joint
Task Force (JTF) in Rivers State on January 3.
Police sources say the outgoing Commissioner of Police, Mr Joseph
Mbu, who was redeployed on Thursday, ordered the release of the
thugs, said to political allies of Senator George Sekibo and Hon.
Evans Bipi, two days ago (Wednesday). Bipi is the legislator who was
recently stopped by a court from parading himself as the Speaker of
the Assembly.
Despite holding them, the partisan police commissioner did not
charge the men to court. Other security agencies involved in the
case revealed that Mbu kept telling them that investigations
were still going on , only for most of them to find out that the
dangerous criminals had actually been released by orders from
Abuja on Wednesday.
The six militia men were caught with AK47 rifles around Ekporo Road
on their way to Ogu, the hometown of Senator Sekibo and Mr. Bibi.
They included Daniel Ibito-Anga, who parades himself and is known in
Ogu Bolo as Security Adviser/PA to Senator George Sekibo and Evans
Bipi. The others were listed as Sunday Elisha, Uche Jenikachi, Ibinabo
Lawson, and Okechukwu Okoro.
In addition to the rifles, the men also had 146 rounds of 7.62mm
Special live ammunition and 10 magazines.
They were stopped on the basis of their suspicious movement as they
headed for Ogu Bolo area in an off white Land Rover jeep with
registration number JJ441BZ.
Sahara Reporters had authoritatively revealed on January 6 that Mrs.
Jonathan ordered Mr. Mbu to release the suspects and to return to
them the arms and ammunition that were found in their possession.
Mbu could not comply with the order because the matter became
public knowledge.
Sekibo and Bipi are known to be very close allies of Mrs. Jonathan
and fighting for her in Rivers State.
The latest development could have severe implications not only for
peace and security in Rivers State, but for Nigerian politics, and
within the police, especially with Mbu taking a new job as Police
head in Abuja.
Asked for the reaction of the Inspector General of Police, MD
Abubakar to Mbu’s release of the thugs, an act that is in flagrant
violation of the law, Police Force spokesman, Frank Mba, said he's
not aware and added that he will get in touch with Rivers State
command to confirm.

8. Get away
If you’ve got the time, money and freedom, stretch
your Valentine’s Day into a Valentine’s weekend away

The State Security Service on Thursday evening released ex-Niger
Delta militant leader Dokubo-Asari, after some hours of
interrogation. Asari, who arrived at the headquarters of the SSS in
Abuja at 9.45am was said to have been quizzed for about six hours
over his threat to Nigerians.
The ex-militant was invited by SSS, following his inflammatory
statements in connection to the 2015 election, in which he said there
will be bloodshed, even if President Goodluck Jonathan is defeated in
a free election.
The self acclaimed warlord was cautioned and allowed to go home
around 4pm.
Crisis is gradually brewing in a family at Ijoko area of Ifo Local
Government Area of Ogun State as a man in his 20s was said to have
rapéd his step-sister after he took her out and got her drunk in a
club.
The Elesin family, which recently moved to their own house at Ijoko
area is currently thrown into confusion an NYSC member and second
born of the family, has been fingered in the rapé of his own sister,
said to be a first year student in a tertiary institution.
The unfortunate story is that the 21yrs old lady was forced into
séx by the man she knew all her life as her own brother. It was
reported that the corps member, currently serving in Enugu State,
hatch the plan when he returned to Lagos early last month.
At the time, Miss Patricia was also at home while waiting for her
school to resume from the prolonged strike of Polytechnic teachers
currently ongoing in the country. The corps member was the only
product of his father’s first marriage, while she is the daughter of the
man’s second wife, identified simply as Jessica.
On Saturday, January 25, 2014, the corps member was said to have
taken his younger sister to a popular pub in the area where he
reportedly fed her with liquor. Apparently drunk from the outing, she
was driven home in a tricycle with her brother.
It was gathered that the corps member was 'heavily drunk' from the
outing and both were all alone at home that night. Their parents, it
was reported, were away from Lagos to attend a burial ceremony of
Jessica’s uncle in the eastern part of the country.
The young lady was so drunk that she could barely walk, as her
equally "drunken" brother piloted her into her room while he also
reportedly went into his bedroom that fateful night. But it was
gathered that shortly after she got to bed in her room, her brother
found his way back there and forced his himself on her.
She later woke up dead in the night to find herself and her half-
brother stark naked in bed and in her own room. There and then she
raised the alarm which drew the attention of their co-tenants. It was
also gathered that all attempts by the corps member to prevent his
sister from raising the alarm over the act were rebuffed by her as she
was hell bent on exposing him.
The corps member left the family apartment at the dead of the night
to an unknown destination. She was said to have narrated her
experience to the neighbours when they arrived in their apartment.
The young lady reportedly put a call to their parents in far away Imo
State and told them what had happened. And they returned to Lagos
the following day.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a female neighbour claimed
that Patricia’s yell raised residents from their deep sleep. The woman
claimed that her husband was among the first callers at their
apartment, but the guy had already fled the house before anyone
arrived.
The neighbour had to take the young lady to an hospital on the
orders of their father whom they spoke with on telephone, probably to
make sure she is giving drugs to prevent her from getting pregnant.
