Some ladies are just crazy and the guy too, why not stick to the
agreement before action? Lol...
A Nigerian from Bayelsa, Imomotimi Wilson, is standing trial for
refusing to use condom on the third rounds of séx he had with a
woman he picked in the club. Below is how Daily Mail is reporting the
story:
A man on trial for rapé for allegedly refusing to wear a condom
on the third time he had séx with a woman in a one-night stand
has told the jury it was 100 per cent consensual.
Imomotimi Wilson, 30, met the woman in a pub and she agreed
to go back to his house but told him she would only have séx
with him if he used protection.
They had consensual séx twice but on the third occasion she
claims that Wilson failed to use a condom .
The woman, a 40-year-old, said Wilson treated her 'like a piece
of meat'. She said he held her hands over her head and told her
'if you love me you'll do it ' before raping her for 15-20 seconds.
But giving evidence at his trial at Cambridge Crown Court, Imomotimi
Wilson said, " she said stop and that's when I stopped'.
According to him: "She said 'I feel like having séx again' and I said
"Yes, I feel like having séx with you as well again but there is no
condom".
"She was romancing me, touching and kissing, and I said 'no, I do not
want to do that because there is no condom'.
"She started kissing me again and then I penetrated her. I believed
100 percent it was consensual. Then she said 'stop' and that's when I
stopped. There were three seconds of penetration."
The court heard how the pair met at The Regal pub in Cambridge on
June 9 last year and took a taxi back to Wilson's shared house in the
city at 2am.
She then spent most of the evening in bed with the defendant before
leaving the property at around 6am. She called police later that
afternoon and Wilson was arrested.
Caroline Allison, prosecuting, said: 'The prosecution say that she had
made it perfectly clear in plain straight-forward language that the
situation was no condom, no séx and that nothing had happened in
the intervening period that would invite a reasonable belief that she
was indeed consenting to unprotected séx.'
Wilson has pleaded not guilty to rapé. The trial continues.
I just hope this guy wont land in prison because of three seconds of
penetration. Oyinbo country wahala!
The battle for the 2015 presidency is going to be an epic one. As you
read this, there is anxiety in the PDP as another of its big names, ex-
Vice President Atiku Abubakar and his men all over Nigeria, have
concluded all underground consultations and are said to be heading
to the leading opposition party, the APC.
Already, Atiku’s supporters in five of the nation’s six geopolitical
zones have voted in support of his move to the APC. The only
exception was North-Central zone where voting on his move was 50
for and 50 against.
“The PDP is worried about the consequences of losing one of its
founding fathers to APC. With ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo
withdrawing from the activities of the party, it will be a blow to
lose Atiku too .
“Some emissaries from the Presidency and the PDP have had
audience with Atiku in Dubai and Abuja. You can imagine their
desperation in trailing him to Dubai."
Credible sources told The Nation that Atiku is convinced by the
unanimous decision of his supporters that to join the APC is the best
option for.
A reliable source said: “There is also anxiety in the PDP because Atiku
would not leave the party without some political heavyweights
following him.”
The votes for Atiku to move are: 88% for APC, 10% for PDM and only
2% for PDP.
After a series of career setbacks and PR nightmares for Brown,
Bu was brought in as a key member of Brown’s management
team. But Davis was not let go due to a contractual agreement.
All of that changed today when, according to my very well-
connected source, Brown FIRED Davis after suspecting her of
setting him up for a violent confrontation between Brown and
Suge Knight!
“She’s not coming back. It’s a wrap!” said my source. “[He]
found out she was the one who set him up!”
Suge Knight reportedly is affiliated with the Bloods, a notorious
street gang out of Compton, California. It’s been long rumored
that Brown rolls with the Bloods — but Brown steadfastly denies
the rumors that he is gang affiliated.
You may have read about the recent violent confrontation
between Brown’s camp and Suge Knight on other blogs.
According to my source, the confrontation occurred about 2
weeks ago.
Stay tuned for more details on this breaking story…
The rate of divorce keeps increasing by the day. In the Holy Qur’an
and in the Bible, adultery is a terrible sin but today many marriages
are being affected by this unholy act.
Mr. Ibrahim Daniel and Helen Daniel got married under the native
custom of northern Nigeria in 2010. But it is sad to note that their
marriage did not last because two years later, the couple was in court
seeking for the dissolution of their marriage on account of adultery by
the wife, Helen.
It was the husband, Ibrahim Daniel who filed for divorce at the upper
area court, Maraba Gurku in 2012. He is a farmer, while Helen was a
house wife. In his claim, Mr. Ibrahim stated that he was no longer
interested in the marriage because Helen no longer respects him and
that her behavior was causing trouble in the family and with the
neighbors. He also claims that she goes out without his consent and
that she brings men to their matrimonial home. The couple was yet to
have children and so the marriage was dissolved last year.
Research has shown cases of adultery, which is a criminal offence,
were very rare because the spouse of the adulterer would rather just
divorce instead. It was rare for a couple to posit adultery as the
reason for dissolution of the marriage. This is why it was difficult to
find case files under “Adultery”. However, a search through the many
divorce cases showed that most some of them implied that there was
alleged unfaithfulness from one of the spouses. These details usually
come out during the hearing of the divorce cases among couples.
Another case filed at the Upper Area Court, Maraba was labeled
“Enticement of Married Woman”. The details of the case showed that
21-year-old Emmanuel Eze was caught with Dosu Dogo, who is
married to Mr Joseph Dogo, in his room. Knowing that she was
married, Emmanuel was able to entice her into his room and had
carnal knowledge of her, an offense which is punishable under section
389 of the Penal Code laws of Northern Nigeria.
During the hearing of the case, Dosu told the court that she was on
her way to the bathroom on a rainy day in August, when Emmanuel
called her to his room. She entered, thinking that it was something
that will not take time and then Emmanuel began to tell her he
wanted to sleep with her. She told him that she was married but he
did not see that as enough reason to stop his advances to her.
Eventually the deed was done but she refused to leave his room until
much later in the day when her brother found her there. Her reason for
staying back in Emmanuel’s room was so the neighbors will not see
her coming out of the room alone and begin to gossip. The hearing of
the case was adjourned.
Speaking to the sole Judge of the Upper Area court, Maraba Gurku,
Judge V. W. Gwahemba, he noticed that most men do not come to
court to accuse the women of adultery. “In most cases, the men would
give other reasons as grounds for divorcing his wife. It could be that
there is no peace in the home or that the woman was always fighting
the neighbors or that they have problems with their in-laws and so
on. It is rare to find a man that says his wife committed adultery,
although we have also had cases like that here.
I think it is because a man would want to protect his dignity and that
of his wife. But when you look deeply into the matter, you will always
find that there is a third party engineering the trouble in the marriage.
It could be that the wife is fed up or lonely and has found someone
out there that will satisfy her. It could be that the man is having a
mistress outside and wants to chase the wife away in order to bring in
his mistress”.
The judge further revealed that, with the amount of divorce cases that
come before him, he noticed that most marriages tend not to last
beyond five years. ‘Most marriages that are brought here to be
dissolved are very young and it is very sad. People are not patient
enough to go through challenges together. Marriage is not a bed of
roses, so it does not mean that you should just give up when things
are tough. I will advise that couples seek to settle their differences
outside the court and remain together because divorce is a thing that
can negatively affect the society,” he said.
According to section 388 and 389 of the Penal Code Law of Northern
Nigeria, the punishment for adultery clearly states that if the accused
person, female or male respectively, was found guilty of adultery then
they could be sentenced to up to two years with an option of fine
according to the discretion of the presiding judge or he could get both
imprisonment and a fine, also according to the discretion of the
judge. The section 387 also outlined the same punishment for any
man that knowingly entices a woman who is married to another man
into sexual relations with him.
Aisha Abdullahi Gambo, a married woman told LEADERSHIP that as
far as she is concerned, many of those committing adultery would
want someone else to commit adultery with their own wives, their own
children or even their own mothers. Because the man who commits
adultery with any lady must remember that she is someone’s
daughter, sister or also mother.
She admits that her husband sometimes prefers keeping female
friends due to some reasons and particularly because of the kind of
job he is practicing, but he does not bother about sex even at home.
"I understand that’s why I don’t get disturbed hence he is somehow a
religious man."
Aisha further noted that adultery is on the increase among our
societies but the best thing is the fear of Allah. She pointed out the
need for both the men and women to get married if they can hence
Islam has allowed men to marry up to four wives if they can do justice
to all of them. And for the woman’s part, it is just to fear Allah,
uphold their reputation and avoid committing adultery that would put
them to shame both within their hearts, in the society and above all,
the punishment in hell fire.
Noora Imam frowns at adultery, saying “Whoever commits adultery
must pay right here in this world before punishment by Allah since no
religion allows adultery to be committed.
Imam Mohammad Sani, is the Chief Imam of Waff Road Mosque
Forum, Kaduna, he is also the Director of Intervention, Interfaith
Mediation Centre, Kaduna and a renown Islamic Preacher of great
repute.
"Almost everybody knows, especially in Islam and Christianity that
adultery and fornication are illegal and sinful. However, adultery is
increasing for many factors:
(a) Most marriages are contracted based
on lust and beauty instead of good conduct and fear of the Lord.
(b)Some marriages are based on materialism and so when there is no
money, that can give way to adultery by both or one of the couples.
(c) Some marriages are because he or she is from so & so family, and
whenever that linking force is lost the marriage is in shambles.
(d)Some wives or husbands are deprived of sexual satisfaction for
many reasons, one of them is absence of love between them. (e) Some
men are too greedy and poor spiritually and they take to extra marital
affairs. All of the above and many more can be traced to lack of
proper spiritual upbringing, keeping bad company and modern social
media services, sales of pornographic films openly on the streets and
so on," said Chief Imam Sani.
The Scholar, further quotes from the Glorious Qur’an Kareem where
Allah SWT says in Suratul Israa’i Chapter 17, Verse 32, that ” Do not
even go close to where one can be tempted to commit adultery, to
abstain from doing anything that would lead to doing adultery.” And
Chapter 24, Verse 2, Suratul Noor where Allah SWT ordained that if
any Muslim male or female is caught committing adultery, should be
given one hundred lashes, provided there are four witnesses that see
them committing the act practically.
Imam Muhammad Tukur Adam is the Chief Imam of Almunar Friday
Mosque, and also the Head Teacher of Almunar Academy, Kaduna
states that the Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihissalam) instructs
that one of the first steps the moment a boy and girl from the early
age approaches puberty from the age of ten years, they should be
separated from sleeping in the same room or on the same bed. That
is not allowed in Islam. And also any social contact that would bring
them together such as schools, play grounds, buses, markets places,
etc.
The scholar further frowns at work places in the cases where you will
see a married woman being a secretary to a boss, that may
eventually lead the to committing adultery, or for that are seeking for
jobs can easily be drag, sometimes even voluntarily ready to give her
body just to secure a job.
The current economic hardship in the country today has been
attributed to the high infidelity rate.
According to elder Theodore Tasie of the Believers World Ministry,
inability of some men to adequately cater for their family has led to
sleeping around by their wives.
He argued that since the man who is supposed to be the bread winner
of the family hardly gets his supposed minimum wage salary, the wife
may not stand the sight of her children starving to death and so gets
herself into a lifestyle she never wanted.
He also blamed some men to be the architect of their own woes for
preferring their jobs to their family, maintaining that it leads to
hunger and insatiable sex on the wife.
“What do you expect when you leave your wife to be the sole provider
for the family? You need not complain when she flirts around because
she is gathering firewood for you. To those who hardly have time for
their family, they wake up as early as 5 am and return by 12 midnight
and jump to bed without even asking for their food, you don’t need to
ask such a man to look at the face of his wife because he is already
snoring before he even closes his eyes, and you know , ‘body no be
wood’ as the saying goes and nature you will agree with me abhors
all vacuum, so , if you are not doing it , she have to look for
somewhere to scratch her back” Tasie said.
Mr Blessing Tini, a business man who has been happily married to his
wife for over 15 years shared the same view with Tasie.
"I think finance and insatiable sex is the cause of infidelity in the
world today, but I blame it mostly on finance. Whatever we do, we
need money, the woman in her quest to satisfy her family and herself
goes extra mile as trading herself to get the needed fund to maintain
her family, though in some cases there are some women who have
high libido for sex, such people you cannot satisfy them unless they
look for supplements outside their matrimonial home," Tini explains.
However he believes the secret to a successful marriage is having the
fear of God by both partners, and relating well with one another.
Men are the major culprits in cases of adultery in this part of the
world. The reason being that the African culture being patriarchal
encourages adultery with parents and family members encouraging
the man to marry as many wives as possible. Civilization and religion
are major restraints hampering the explosion of such deadly acts.
The Founder of Christ Fishers of Men Church of All Nation, Apostle
Peter Oloye in his view said that adultery is a sign of the end times as
prophesied in the Holy Bible.
Oloye advised that building the marriage and making Jesus the
foundation of such marriage is the basis of a successful marriage. He
prescribed genuine love between spouses, compassion for each other,
bedrock of respect, a conscious effort to remain attractive to one’s
spouse, fervent prayers in support of the spouse.
He however, warned couples against going into a match-made
marriage as this could lead to grave and severe consequences.
Mrs. Adebusola Ipaye, a jewellery merchant in Lagos said adultery is
on the increase, no doubt but this can be attributed to many factors
such as lack of basic understanding between couples, lack of financial
decency in the home, lack of contentment on the part of the wife, a
lack of sexual satisfaction and marital attention among other things.
Ipaye recommended contentment and true love as the core of a
successful marriage.
A Pastor at Redeemed Christian Church of God, Oluwarotimi
Oluwabukola said after the wedding ceremony, some women do not
make themselves attractive to their husbands any more, focusing all
of their attention on childbearing and rearing, she also highlighted the
lack of tolerance between the couples and ultimately the inability of
many couples to satisfy themselves sexually.
She advised couples to appreciate one another and reflect on their
courtship and dating period and the things that got them attracted to
one another as this would ensure the growth of the marriage. The fear
of God makes marriages grow and endears couples to one another,
she stated.
According to Pastor Moses Adejumo, he drew attention to the lust of
the flesh on the part of the men and immoral dressing on the part of
women. Adejumo however advised that couples must remain
committed to God and their spouses. A man should provide
adequately for his home, love his wife dearly, understand each other
and ensure that both of them are responsible, he said.

Nothing is hidden under the sun and former BBA winner, Uti
Nwachukwu just confirmed that by exposing few dirty secret of ladies
who are making waves in the entertainment industry. He was on
Ebony Life TV and the guy made the revelation with confidence,
indication he knows what he's saying.
According to Uti: "Most celebrity women in the entertainment
industry have had to sleep with one big man or the other to have
the comfortable life they live. Its common knowledge".
Uti Nwachukwu didn't stop there. He went ahead to disclosed that a
lot of ladies in the entertainment industry who are not yet married in
their early or late 30s are suffering from this same mess.
He said even himself, whenever he hangs out with his friends and they
talk about getting married to a beautiful actresses, most of the guys
will say "never" and that is because they've met these actresses in
private places and they see all the nonsense they do with big men
because of money.
I was among those in the forefront of castigating Asiwaju Bola Ahmed
Tinubu when he voiced opposition to President Goodluck Jonathan’s
National Conference. Tinubu did not mince words in describing the
proposed gathering as a Greek gift that’ll bear no useful fruit.
But, along with others, I argued otherwise. And forcefully too. We felt
it was the first time a sitting president would on his own without any
prompting from known agitators agree that Nigeria’s component units
sit at a round table to chart a new course for the polity through a
workable constitution. More importantly, Jonathan picked a cerebral
former General Secretary of Afenifere, Senator Femi Okurounmu, as
chairman of the committee to prepare a road map for the conference.
That sealed it for us given Afenifere’s position that the ethnic
nationalities which make up Nigeria must return to the negotiating
table as they did before independence to fashion a new constitution
for the country.
Okurounmu was not just another Afenifere scribe. He had a pedigree.
Apart from serving as a senator on the platform of Alliance for
Democracy (AD) (1999 – 2003), he carved a niche for himself as a
staunch proponent of a Sovereign National Conference. A scholar and
a person many of us considered a deep thinker, we had no doubt he’ll
not disappoint. We said so in so many words in several places using
different platforms to confront those who did not believe in the
conference. But we now know better.
With developments arising out of Okurounmu’s work thus far, I want
to admit that we missed it. Jonathan sold us a dummy.
And
Okurounmu disappointed us in his old age. And I wonder what these
old men are leaving behind as legacies with the decreasing distance
between them and their graves. How will Chief Adekunle Ajasin feel?
What’ll be the position of Pa Solanke Onasanya? What kind of words
would Senator Abraham Adesanya reserve for Okurounmu, who for
whatever it is worth has put a final nail in the coffin of whatever little
respect the average Yoruba has for Afenifere?
A National Conference is a veritable admission that the foundation of
a polity has given way. It is the shortest route to dismantling that
polity without the chaos and casualties of a civil war – and putting
the humpty dumpty back again before detractors get to know what is
happening. And that can only be done as it was in the beginning
before Nigeria got her independence from Britain – our different
ethnic nationalities MUST sit and discuss the basis of the Nigerian
union.
Any National Conference without the ethnic nationalities as primary
participants remain a mere talkshop. It cannot work. It will fail. It is
also a wrong position to have a National Conference submit what it
arrives at to the National Assembly. A genuine gathering to change
the current constitution should have the National Assembly and two-
thirds of the state Houses of Assembly giving a go-ahead to the
National Conference that whatever it comes up with is final and
binding as articles of faith in running our affairs as a nation. That is
what we were expecting to happen in this instance, not a return to the
same circle of political actors who brought us to this sorry state – a
patient cannot treat him/herself.
It appears Tinubu, with his many shortcomings, is better at seeing
deeper than most of his critics as I am one of them. There is hardly
anything an average Yoruba want than a restructured polity in
today’s Nigeria with its flawed federal structure. Of course, genuine
South-South patriots – not militants turn merchants – want the same
thing.
But this Jonathan CONference has turned out a 419 project to get
mainstream Yoruba behind his re-election bid. It is now clear the
whole charade is political 419. And Tinubu said this earlier. But we
did not listen. Instead, we hurled abuses in his direction.
Those of us
on this side meant well for ourselves, and our people. But we appear
too romantic in our reasoning and arguments. And I don’t think that
is bad because we desperately want things to work despite all the
visible obstacles. So, any little sign of light proving the end of the
tunnel is here, we rush there with joy.
But in the case of this Jonathan’s CONference, my sincere apologies
to Tinubu. He got it right. We missed it.

All that talk about “Scandal” actress Kerry Washington (pictured
above) sleeping with President Barack Obama apparently hasn’t
fazed Michelle Obama. The first lady admits to binge watching
the popular ABC TV series that is based on a Washington, D.C.
“fixer” who handles crises for the president of the United States.
Coincidentally, Washington celebrated her 37th birthday today,
while Mrs. Obama celebrated her 50th birthday 2 weeks ago
today.
From nastygist_ng :
It’s no secret that “Scandal” is one of the most addicting
shows on TV, so we’re not exactly surprised that First Lady
Michelle Obama has fallen under Olivia Pope’s spell.
On a long flight to Hawaii over the holidays, Obama said she
fell in love with the ABC drama.
“I watched all the seasons; I caught up on ‘Scandal.’ I had
never watched it,” she told Ryan Seacrest on Thursday (Jan.
30). “I love Kerry Washington. She is amazing, so it makes the
show fun.”
Michelle isn’t the only Obama who has developed a binge
watching habit. In December, Barack told the New York Times
that he likes to kick back and relax with shows like “House of
Cards,” “Homeland,” “Breaking Bad” and “Game of Thrones.”
You Risk 5 Years In Jail Or N10m Fine If You Insult Someone On The Internet - New Nigerian Cyber Crime Bill
Guys, I don't know why I find this very funny. But just incase you
haven't heard, for using profane language on other people or pelting
them with insults or abusive words on social networking sites,
internet users in Nigeria now risk a jail term that ranges between 12
months and five years.
Craziest part - you can also get sentenced to death if you are not
careful according to the Cyber-Crime Bill 2013, which is now pending
before the House of Representatives.
Here are the listed offenses in the bill with their punishment. I
compiled them from the report Punch just released.
If you as a Nigerian internet user:
insults someone else publicly, through a computer system
or network, you have committed an offense and will be
liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not less
than five years or to a fine of not less than N10m or to both
fine and imprisonment.
If you circulate or make any racist and xenophobic material
available online, you get a jail term of five years.
Cyber-criminals, who hide under the anonymity of the
Internet to bully, harass other users of online platforms also
risk jail terms when the law comes into full force.
Anyone found guilty of posting messages deemed “grossly
offensive, indecent, obscene” or messages aimed at
“causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety” to
another online user gets a jail term of 12 months
If you bully, threaten or harass another person, through
“information and communication technologies” or posts
messages online that contains “threats to kidnap or injure”
another person, you will be jailed five years or pay a fine of
N15m or both.
Then the craziest part I earlier told you about - if you
commit an offense against what the bill calls “critical
national information infrastructure” which results in death,
automatically, a death sentence will be prescribed for you!
According to the bill, Internet service providers will be required to
keep all traffic data and subscriber information for the purpose of
prosecuting those suspected of committing cyber-crimes. The service
providers are expected to provide necessary assistance towards the
identification, apprehension and prosecution of offenders, failure of
which makes them liable to fines and or jail terms.
Part V, Section four of the bill prescribes the Office of the National
Security Adviser as the co-coordinating body for all security and
enforcement agencies when the bill becomes law.

This is not the best of times for ace actor and school proprietor, the
very popular Emeka Ike known for so many things and love for
scandal.
Cos according to NastyGist the very well known actor turned
educationist's school located at 1, Raji Olamideji Crescent, Magodo
beside PMS filling station on CMD road was shut down or better still
taken possession of by the court last week Friday, January 24, 2014
after a protracted court case that lasted all of 5 years.
From the little information they were able to gather, Emeka had had a
running battle with the owners of the
property for the past 5 years, during which the well known actor
refused to pay a dime to the property owners.
The school St. Nicholas College, a secondary school was established
in 2008 by the ace actor. And according to the gist then, Emeka was
supposed to have invested about N200 million in the making the
school happen at the property that they have now been sent packing
from.
All through the years of the school existence Emeka, his wife and the
school had been engaged in one unconfirmed allegation after the
other. Some of the allegations are as follows:
none payment of salaries as at when due to the staff &
teachers; he apparently used to owe many of those working
for him for upwards of 6 months at a time.
He was also alleged to prefer employing unqualified & non
professional teachers in a school, where parents were
paying exorbitant school fees thinking they were getting the
best of education and more. So bad was the situation at
the school at a point, that many parts of building were said
to have been in a state of disrepair.
At a point it was alleged that only 13 students remained in
the school, as others had been withdrawn by their parents.
Everything finally came to a head last week, when court bailiffs acting
under instructions took possession of the school. Just before sealing
it, they were reported to have carted away a few of the valuables that
were still in the school, like the school bus, a few air-conditioners and
some furniture.
As at the time of filing this report, some of the remaining things that
the bailiffs couldn't cart away are all still outside the school premises
littering the frontage.
It's quite a long, serious story, but a must read to the end. Some
people are just plain wicked, if the allegations in this story are true.
This young couple, Uche & Onyinye Nnaji only sealed their love for
each other at a beautiful, yet compact wedding ceremony in the last
quarter of 2013- Sunday, September 22, 2013 to be more precise. But
since then and after coming back from their honeymoon in Seychelles,
it has not been a bed of roses at all for the couple. It has been one
stress after the other as the days go by and why some people are hell
bent on traumatizing and destroying this young marriage of only 4
months beats our imagination!
What is the genesis of their problem?
Apparently before the couple got married, Uche's then girlfriend now
wife used to work at a company, CMB. The company like everyone
already knows is into real estates/properties, building maintenance
etc and is owned by a very well connected and wealthy man - Mr.
Kelechukwu Mbagwu.
In fact at the couple's wedding reception, Mr. Mbagwu (whose picture
is shown below) had the pride of place as he was very prominent on
the day, reason being that his company and himself ably supported
the ceremony. We even learnt that the couple's trip to Seychelles, the
gorgeous lovers island was a present from CMB to the then just
married couple. The premise then was that, nothing was too big a
present, for a devoted star staff who diligently brought in millions in
profit for her organization while the going was great.
So what could have gone wrong so quickly between the
couple, the company and the MD? That would warrant
Onyinye quitting her beloved job abruptly only 2 days after
she had just returned from her all expenses paid for (by
CMB) honeymoon in Seychelles?
Apparently long before Onyinye got married she had had a very good
and very cordial relationship with her boss, some have even said she
was one of his best staff; unconfirmed reports apparently say bringing
in profit wasn't enough.
But according to the case that has now been filed at the Ikeja High
Court, the genesis of this matter might have begun over a case of
sexual harassment which has now been turned on its face.
Apparently Oga wanted something the lady couldn't give. The lady not
wanting to lose her job while also not wanting her boss to lose face,
decided on a tactical game of hide and seek, thinking that over time
the boss would totally lose interest.
When after the whole nuptial ceremony had been sorted and the
honeymoon was done with and the lady felt now that her new status
(being married) should protect her from untoward demands and
thought to resume work- 2 weeks after, she met a major brick-wall; a
demand for pay back or face the repercussion!
Not wanting to soil her new bed, she apparently did the next best
thing to do - she reported the whole matter to her husband of only a
few weeks. Instead of them suing for sexual harassment, because she
had apparently escaped being molested by whiskers, they then
decided that the best thing to do was to immediately quit the job and
let the matter rest.
Mr. Nnaji then took all the company's properties in their possession
(including his wife's official car) and her resignation letter to CMB the
next day, thinking that was the end of the matter.
Unfortunately, that particular action was misconstrued to be
audacious, impudent and insulting by the MD, and all hell has been
let loose on them ever since.
Mr Mbagwu at the Nnajis' wedding in September 2013, advising the
same couple he is now fighting with all his might
Truth be told, it has not been an easy couple of months for the
couple, there have been threats upon threats from unknown sources,
their once easy going existence has been beleaguered by harassment
and fear. Even men of the Nigerian Police Force, have been used to
harass the couple to no end, even as we speak.
First, a phantom petitioner from Abuja made claims of fraud
against Uche. Men from the fraud unit came calling, so he
had to go report at their office. He and the faceless
petitioner were given dates to appear to come make their
statements. While Uche reported on the given date, the
petitioner has refused to surface till now 8 weeks after the
petition.
The next harassment that came their way, was in the form
of 'threat to the life of Mr. Kelechukwu Mbagwu''. Using his
vast connections, Mr. Mbagwu had apparently petitioned
the police claiming that the young couple had threatened
his life, the evidence of the threat is a message that had
been sent by his former star employee- Onyinye for him to
leave them alone. This message below is the main reason
for their suffering right now:
The exact message sent out is reproduced here - EXHIBIT A:
''Sir will you please leave us alone? This is the second time God
is exposing you in my dream of chasing me and planning to
kidnap me? Friends and family have been warning us of danger,
and today the police invited my husband for a petition from a
faceless person who he knows nothing about. I have cried and
pleaded with my husband not to take this matter to the media.
We don't have the money you have yet but our mothers have
taken you to God in their prayers. Remember what u told me
about dying soon? They have used it as a prayer point except U
amend your ways. I served you for 5yrs brought in hundreds of
millions in sales and still didn't get anything when leaving yet
you won't let us rest...stop appearing in my dreams pls''.
The text above is the exact message that was sent to Mr. Mbagwu,
which is now been used as evidence of threat on his life. But the
same Mr. Mbagwu, who we heard had threatened to deal with that
'tailor husband' of his former employee with all at his disposal, is
walking around without any stress whatsoever.
On Wednesday, January 29, 2014, policemen from the
'special anti-robbery squad' (SARS) arrested the pregnant
Onyinye. R eason(s) for the arrest - she constitutes a threat
to the life of her former boss. She and her husband had
been in hiding for the better part of 3 plus weeks now
because of the many threats they have been receiving. She
was lured out from their hiding place, via a phone call from
her pastor who she has been praying with on the same
issues, on getting to the pastor's place she was
immediately arrested.
Prior to this arrest, Uche's store popular known as Ouch!
had been invaded severally by gun-totting policemen on the
pretext of looking for the award winning clothier, these men
also harassed without provocation an innocent staff of the
company at gun point, who couldn't give the whereabouts
of her boss to the fiery policemen.
Just yesterday, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at a magistrate
court in Ikeja, the highly traumatized Onyinye was charged
for an amended charge of threat to life and intent to extort
(demand for an SUV).
The amended charge reads as follows:
Count 1- That you Onyinye Onwamaka Anthonia Nnaji 'f' and
others at large on the 25th day of November 2013, at about
1830 hours at Ikoyi Lagos in Lagos Magisterial district with
intent to extort or gain something from Kelechukwu Mbagwu 'm'
and knowing the contents of writing, caused him to receive
written text message from your mobile phone number-
23480935505937, demanding SUV vehicle from him without
reasonable or probable cause and the text message containing
threat of injury or detriment of any kind to be caused on him if
your demand is not complied with and thereby committed an
offence punishable under section 300 of the Criminal law of
Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.
Count 2 - That you Onyinye Onwamaka Anthonia Nnaji 'f' on the
same date, time and place in the aforesaid Magisterial district
with intent to extort or gain SUV car from one Kelechukwu
Mbagwu 'm' did accuse him of committing felony to wit:
attempted rape and thereby committed an offence contrary to
section 301(1)(a) and punishable under section 301(2)(i) of the
criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.
For one to fully appreciate the ambiguity in the charges, one needs to
read all over again the full text of message that Onyinye had sent to
her boss above marked exhibit A. The sad aspect of the whole matter
is that a case had already been filed for hearing long before the
hurried one at the magistrate court, at a high court in Lagos today,
Friday, January 31, 2014. So why the hurry? What is going on?
After the court case on Thursday, she was remanded in custody till
she would make her bail condition, which was set at N100,000 and
the provision of 2 sureties that have paid their taxes consistently for
the last 3 years. She's even still in custody as this story is going on
air.
Trying to get across to her husband's phones is a problem, as they
have been switched off for fear that they would be traced and he
would be arrested and molested, and just anything could happen to
him.
With the direction that this unnecessary scandal has taken,
we would love to ask several questions
1. Is there more to this issue than we are being made to
believe?
2. Even if there was something between the lady and her
boss before she got married, why is that now that she's
made up her mind not to continue, she and her husband
can't be allowed to live in peace?
3. Why use the apparatus of the state (police) to threaten,
embarrass, scare, intimidate, another citizen of the state
like yourself?
4. Is it true that because of this scandal, not less than 5
female staff members of the company have had to resign?
5. How come that the very distinguished & hardworking
Commissioner for Police in Lagos is involved one way or
the other in this case, especially why the need to go that
high over a minor issue that should have been reported and
handled at a police station?
6. Why involve the SARS & SIB ?
7. Where did the case of the faceless fraud petitioner come
from and who is this phantom petitioner? 8. Is this a
classic case of the scorned, doing all that is possible to get
his pound of flesh? Lastly! What is going on to warrant all
of this?
Another sad aspect of the whole situation is that Uche Nnaji's
business has been severely affected and his finances dealt with as he
has not gone near any of his branches since the beginning of the new
year.
Uche Nnaji is a very well known young man, who is extremely
hardworking and an award winning individual who in under a decade
has done fantastically well for himself. He started selling clothes while
still an undergraduate at the University of Lagos, from his meager
savings he was able transform from just buying and selling to owning
and selling his own brands of clothing items known to all as Ouch!.
In the last few years, he has opened not less than 4 branches in
Lagos. He was chosen (the only one at that) to represent Nigeria at
the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in August of 2012. He has
also won several awards one of which is the BusinessDay 40 under 40
CEOs, this is are those young ones who over the course of the years
have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields. He was also one
out of the 100 Guardians of the Future honored at the tail end of last
year by Mr. President, Dr Goodluck Azikwe Ebele Jonathan, GCFR.
Until all the recent troubles of the past few months, he has always
being known to mind his own business.
So Weird: New Law In UAE Forces Nursing Mothers To Breastfeed Till Their Baby Is 2 Years Old Or The Husband Will Sue!
According to a new law in the United Arab Emirates, all nursing
mothers must now breastfeed their children for at least two years
after giving birth, or risk being sued by their husbands!
And this is all because their Federal National Council believe it is the
right of all children to be breastfed up to the age of two, cos it is a
duty and not an option for any woman. But in a situation where a
mother is unable to breastfeed for biological reasons, the state would
support her by providing a wet nurse (ie a woman who breast feeds
and cares for another woman's child).
Ever since the law became effective, several groups supporting new
parents have reacted strongly to it cos they are concerned that
enacting such a law would leave mothers facing potential serious
punishment.

A 16-year-old in Germany made off with
hundreds of euros after he held up a bank
using a toy gun, but was quickly apprehended
when he fled by bicycle, police said on
Saturday.
The teenager managed to pocket "a four-figure
sum" after he stormed into a bank in the
southern Bavarian town of Bad Füssing on
Friday brandishing a fake gun and shouting
"Hold-up!", local police said.
The boy then raced off on his bike, chased by a
witness in a car.
He was apprehended by police several minutes
later while trying to cross the border into
Austria.
He surrendered to officers and admitted to the
crime.
The State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Ogun State,
has detained two Chinese nationals, Mike Jackson and Tony Jackson,
for allegedly brutalising Adeleke Owolabi, an employee of their
company, Jivan Plastic Company.
According to Punch, the victim, Adeleke Owolabi said he had just
been hired by Mike to be a marketer in the northern part of the
country. Only for Mike and his cousin, Tony Jackson, to brutalise him
during an argument in Mike’s office.
The 40-year-old victim said:
“I have been self-employed for a long time and I met Mike sometime
last year. He offered me a marketing job in his company and asked
me to resume in the first week of January. He produces PVC, a roofing
material, and said he wanted to expand to the north and since I
needed the job, I accepted.
I went on January 6, but he told me to return the following day.
However, I could not make it because I travelled. On January 8, I
returned and after discussions, he said I should go get a sack in
which I could put the PVC into. I bought a Ghana-must-go bag of
N500 with my own money and one of his former marketers showed
me how to package them. I loaded 200 pieces into the sack and I was
set for my travel to the north. But Mike said I should proceed to the
production section to learn more about the product.”
The graduate of Mass Communications from Olabisi Onabanjo
University said when it was about 4pm, he told Mike that he wanted
to leave so that he could arrive Kano on time, but an argument
ensued. He said Mike became violent and descended on him.
Owolabi continued:
“After pleading with Mike, he said I should remove the PVC from the
bag and return the bag. As I was doing this, Mike kicked me in my
private part. I asked him why he was being wicked to me since he was
the one who offered me the job.
“He said I was not handling the PVC properly and they could break.
He then slapped me, so I held his shirt in order to stop him, but his
cousin, Tony, smashed a bottle on my head and beat me up until I
fainted.”
The father of two said when he woke up, he was covered in blood. He
said a lady took him to the Makun Police Division from where he was
referred to Idera Hospital for treatment. He alleged that the Chinese
men refused to visit him at the hospital and did not offer any
apology. That the police too refused to press charges against the
Chinese men.
“The police said since Mike and Tony were foreigners, a lot of things
would be involved. I then reported the matter to a human rights
organisation and the case was taken to the Nigerian Immigration
Service, Ogun State Command. Mike and his cousin came on January
17, and that was the first time they apologised to me and promised to
help me secure a Chinese visa,”
However, it was learnt that after PUNCH Metro’s publication, the
police immediately stormed the PVC manufacturing company in
Sagamu and whisked the suspects away. It was learnt that the
suspects would remain in police custody until the completion of
investigation.
A former schoolteacher from Chongqing, China named Xiang
Renxian has devoted nearly a dozen years of her life to making
a hat and coat for her husband—out of her very own hair.
She says her hair began to fall out when she was in her 30's.
"Throughout my youth I was always famous for my wonderful
long hair, and as I grew older I realized that, just like my looks,
my hair was losing its luster," she told the Global Times. "Many
people envied my long, shiny black hair so I wanted to keep
them, even the dropped threads."
Xiang said she collected her hair for years but didn't know what
to do with it .
It was only in 2003 that she decided to weave it into
clothing. "I wanted to find a way to preserve that, and
came up with the idea of using it to create something for
my husband. It took a while to perfect the techniques, it
was only when I was 49 that I started to work on this
project. Once I got into the technique that I developed, it
was actually not difficult to do, you just need patience and
I knew that I had the time."
She says she kept count of each strand of hair, and used a total
of 116,058 strands of hair to make both of the items she gave to
her husband.
The coat was Xiang's first project, for which she used 15
pieces of hair as one strand of standard wool. She began
in 2003 and managed to finish the main body only by
2008. Later, she started weaving the hat, with 20 pieces
of hair per strand. This she completed in 2011. "It takes
great patience as the weaving work could only be done a
bit each day due to the scarcity of hair," she said.
When the weaving was complete, she felt that the coat
needed a bit of a finishing touch. So she decided to weave
her name and the date of completion on to the cuffs in
white. She had to wait until the end of last year to collect
enough grey hair for her signature.
This makes me feel extra shitty about the last present I got for
my boyfriend for our anniversary. I got him a gift card to
Chili's. Not because I totally forgot it was our anniversary until
he texted me "Happy Anniversary!" when I was driving past that
Chili's by where we live and made a last ditch turn into their
parking lot to go scramble desperately for some kind of gift. No.
That didn't happen at all. That Chili's gift card is a true symbol
and token of our undying love that will live in his glove
compartment underneath those parking tickets he got, until the
day he realizes he's dead broke, starving and feels a craving for
some economically-priced casual dining.

Acid attack victim, 21 years old Naomi Oni broke down during her
first television appearance since her friend 21 years old Mary Konye
was found guilty of throwing acid at her face out of envy.
Speaking on This Morning today, Naomi revealed she even
contemplated suicide over the false claims that she had poured the
acid over herself. She said:
'I was told there was no way of finding who this person was and
after being questioned by the police and realising they were
looking at me, trying to say that I done it to myself, I thought
this is not going to happen. I'm not going to sit there and let
them tell me that.
Recalling how her 'friend' acted throughout her ordeal, Miss Oni said:
'The morning of the day it happened. I remember that she
messaged me and I spoke to her in the evening and told her
what happened. She seemed shocked and told me she wanted to
come and see me in hospital.
When I first had some surgery, I remember crying on the phone
to her asking "who would do this to me, who hates me? I would
never wish this on my worst enemy". She told me not to worry,
that I'd be okay and she even attended my surprise birthday
party and got me flowers and a gift card. She sat beside me and
cried and everything.
How do I feel about her now? I think she's a sad person. I think I
will always be the person I was and no one can stop me from
that.
Killer of British soldier, Michael Adebolajo, who was found guilty of
murder, has lodged an application to appeal against his conviction.
The soldier, Lee Rigby was killed on the 22 nd of May, 2013, in
Woolwich, south-east London, by Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale.
Adebolajo, 29, from Romford, east London, said he was a “soldier of
Allah” and it was an act of war. At the scene of the murder, he yelled
after killing the soldier saying; "We swear by almighty Allah we will
never stop fighting you. The only reason we have done this is because
Muslims are dying every day. This British soldier is an eye for an eye,
a tooth for a tooth."
Also in a police interview, Adebolajo said he had picked Rigby
because he was the first soldier they saw. He was stabbed with knives
including ones bought the day before from Argos. He claimed he
targeted the neck because it was the most humane way to kill
someone and added: "So I struck at the neck and attempted to
remove the head."
He and Michael Adebowale, 22, from Greenwich, south-east London,
are currently awaiting sentencing.
In December, an Old Bailey jury of eight women and four men took
approximately 90 minutes to find the men guilty of murdering Lee
Rigby.
No date has been set for the court of appeal to consider whether it
will hear Adebolajo's attempt to have his murder conviction over
turned.

Were you good in maths in school?I ask because
it is possible you arrive at a wrong logical
conclusion.
Hi everyone, As you can imagine this is a very
important day in my life, and with these lines I
would like to express the memories and
emotions that come to me as I write. This letter
is written from my heart, and first of all I
would like to say that I will never forget all the
affection given to me by the Chelsea fans.
From the very first day until the last. With
your support and affection I have grown up as
a player and I have had an amazing time both
on and off the pitch. I will always feel the
gratitude towards you. Always. No words are
enough to give back all the things I have
received. There has been plenty of good
moments: the FA Cup, my first trophy as a Blue;
the immense happiness of winning titles for the
first time in the club’s history, such as that
magical Champions League night in Munich and
the Europa League.
On the other hand, I have experienced some
complicated situations from a personal point of
view, mainly during the last six months. Every
message I got through the social media, every
nice word you have said to me on the street,
and of course, your support in the stadium, has
made me feel incredibly proud of the Chelsea
fans; you deserve a team like the one you’ve
got, with so many fantastic players. I won’t
forget the faith you put in me when I was given
the player of the year award the last two
seasons. I feel really proud and I will never
forget those nights. Thank you so much for the
way you have treated me, you have been
unbelievable.
I hope you understand that after going through
a complicated and, for me, new situation in the
last few months, I believe this is the best choice
in order to carry on with my football career
and to keep enjoying this sport. Before last
summer, my intention was to stay here for a
long time; as long as the club wanted me to,
and to keep winning trophies for Chelsea FC.
This is how happy I was in the club and in the
city. However, as you all know, things changed
after the preseason. From feeling like an
important player, I started to experience some
difficult situations and I felt unable to help the
team to the extent that I wanted and was used
to. Obviously, I fully respect the circumstances.
Football is a team sport and it’s not easy to play
regularly in such a good squad. In sports you
may win or lose, but the most important thing
is to give everything. I hope you know and feel
that I have always done so. In every game, in
every training session, without exception. I
have always tried my best for the club. I would
like to emphasise the affection, admiration and
respect that I’ve had for my former team
mates since the first day. I want to thank the
captains for their help and understanding at all
times. They made me feel comfortable when I
arrived and they have supported me throughout
the difficult times this season. I thank all my
former team mates for these two and a half
years and I wish them the best, personally and
professionally, for the future. Of course I have
been closer to some of them, but the most
important thing is that my years in Chelsea
have left me with great friends. Friends forever,
football rivalries aside. I also want to highlight
the day-to-day job of every member of the
Chelsea staff: medical team, kit men, staff at
Cobham and Stamford Bridge, media and
marketing department, Chelsea TV team…
All of them are very important in making this
club a great one. Thank you for your treatment
and your efforts to make the life of the players
easier. Furthermore, thanks to every manager I
have had the pleasure to work with during my
time here. They have all been a big help for my
progression as a player. I have always respected
their decisions, whatever they were; they made
me more mature and a stronger person. You
learn from everything, and certain situations
make you think about other team mates who
are coping with similar situations more
regularly. Thank you Andre for giving me the
opportunity to join Chelsea FC. Without your
support, none of this would have happened. To
Robbie and Rafa, for their unlimited trust in
me. And to Jose, for making me a stronger
player, because in difficult moments, I have
learnt to remain positive and to keep working
hard. Lastly, I want to thank the Club, and in
particular its owner, Roman Abramovich, for
trusting me and making an important
investment when signing me. Also for their
understanding regarding my situation over the
last months. I’m very glad to have been part of
the squad that made his and our dream come
true: winning the Champions League on that
unforgettable night in Munich. Additionally, my
years in Chelsea have been profitable for the
club, which I’m very pleased about. I want to
make clear that the stage that now comes to an
end has been extremely important for me,
personally and professionally. Although many
of you, like myself, never thought this moment
would come, this is football and a new chapter
is about to begin. I would have liked to say good
bye to all of you in the stadium, or in a press
conference, but it has not been possible. I’m
sure I will be able to do it in the future,
because that is what you deserve. Evidently,
today is a day of mixed feelings, remembering
the past and looking forward to the future and
what it has to bring. I look forward to being
happy and to enjoy what I like the most: play
football. I will never forget my time in Chelsea
and the affection I take with me, I will keep
forever. I wish you the best. A big hug to all of
you. THANK YOU so much, Juan
Not sure what Nadia Buari means by the below message especially
when Ghanaians misconstrue saying the truth as hating…
In Ghana, it is difficult to say the truth, even if it’s obvious—therefore,
anyone who says the truth is labelled a hater or given some sort of
name. The moment you start singing praises, you become a beloved
one.
Whatever it this, Nadia Buari thinks some internet bloggers hate her,
and she decided to take a photo for these haters with the below
message;
I guess she knows that the only way to fight hate is by loving and she
is doing exactly that!
Following Jackie Appiah’s recent natural hair show off, which many
said she looks more beautiful with her natural hair than the expensive
weaves she regular wears—Yvonne Nelson also wants you to know
that she is naturally beautiful too.
In fact, we will love it if these celebrities embrace more of themselves.
They can start the journey with cutting down the weaves and the
make-up, and then gradually we will get to letting go the bleaching
creams and fake accents…
Good one there Yvonne! You don’t look bad at all—with the natural
hair.
What do you think?
