Man Buried With Pair of BOOTS Sticking Out Of His Coffin [See Photos]

A builder who loved a joke was given a fitting send off – with a pair of work
boots sticking out of his coffin.
Avid Stockport County supporter Jason Calvert, 40, suffered a fatal brain
haemorrhage earlier this month.
He had no life insurance so his family were about to take a loan out to pay for
his funeral.
But fellow County fans, Jason’s work colleagues and friends raised £3,500 in
just two weeks to pay for the service
His sister Joan McNulty, 48, said: “Words cannot express how grateful I am
that people would do this in a time of austerity, it brings back your faith in
humanity.
“It’s been fantastic and helped the grieving to know that it is not just me, and
that he has touched lots of people’s lives.

“Everyone loved Jason, he got on well with everyone and loved a joke.
“He also loved going to County and was a big supporter. When he was 15 he got
a tattoo on his arm which he had to hide.”
At the funeral on Monday, the coffin was draped with a flag and scarf of
County, who play in the Conference North.
There was also a guest appearance from County manager Alan Lord.
Jason, from Cheadle Heath, Greater Manchester, leaves behind partner Lara
Backhouse, 24, niece Bethany McNulty, nephew Michael McNulty and brother-
in-law Kevin McNulty.
Alan Lord said: ‘It is only a small token of our appreciation for his many
years supporting the football club.
“All our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.’
