Jonathan Begs Mark, Tambuwal: Don't Let Our People Join APC

The heat is on in the National Assembly and from the look of things,
the PDP is set to crumble in the areas that it matters most.
Consequently, President Goodluck Jonathan has made a very strong
plea with the leaders of both houses of the legislature to help save
whatever is left of the party to avoid loosing to the APC.
The president met with the leadership of the Senate and the House of
Reps from mid-night into the early hours of Tuesday in Aso Rock
where he begged them to do everything possible in their power to stop
a mass defection of PDP members into the opposition APC. But they
say it won't an easy...
A top source in the Presidency disclosed that President Jonathan was
very careful when he was discussing the issue with them as they in
the Presidency already believe that the Speaker of the House of Reps,
Hon. Aminu Tambuwal is now closer to the APC leaders than he is to
President Jonathan.
NastyGist.Com gathered that President Jonathan promised to
ensure each of them gets automatic ticket from the PDP in 2015 if
they can help him stop APC in the National Assembly. David Mark
was said to have told him that it will be difficult because Senators are
not happy with the way he (Jonathan) has been treating their
resolutions as mere "noise making exersice".
President Jonathan promised to change but a source say Tambuwal
just listened, he didn't say anything.
It appears that APC now has 186 members loyal to the party in the
House of Reps, out of the 360 members and this puts the opposition
party in the majority as 186 minus 360 is just 174.
