SUÁREZ BITES STURRIDGE!

Liverpool’s new strike duo of Luis Suárez and Daniel Sturridge may be a great
fledgling partnership on the field this season, but according to rumors emerging on
social networks, it appears things aren’t so rosy between the pair at the club’s
Melwood training ground.

Suárez has just returned from a lengthy suspension for his famous bite out of
Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanović, but it would appear the Uruguayan has not dealt
with his anger issues. He is reported to have put in an “overly aggressive” tackle
on his new strike partner before lashing out at him during a training session.
Sturridge was visibly incensed at the assault and apparently had to be restrained
by teammates Steven Gerrard and Daniel Agger.
Brendan Rodgers is said to have diffused the situation quite quickly and had a
word with the pair privately, before carrying on with the training session.
While the Anfield PR machine has certainly done well to keep this story out of the
headlines, it was allegedly spotted nonetheless by a handful of fans who were
hanging around the training ground at the time.
Whether there is any truth to the story or not, Suárez has once again made it clear
that his appetite for controversy remains insatiable.
